1724) There’s a verse in the Old Testament that I remember a professor in Bible college commenting on and it’s found in Deuteronomy 29:29. It says, “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
My professor summarized it simply, “What God has revealed to you, act upon it. Whatever he hasn’t revealed to you is none of your business.”
Let’s face it. The things that God has actually revealed to us in his word are hard enough to ponder and live. The things of this life that we don’t have answers for aren’t things we need to spend our energy on. God’s got them taken care of. Accepting this hard thing is called faith.
