1716) As I have written several times before, I do constant battles with being afraid of many things. If I were to count all of them, I wouldn’t be surprised if I could list 30 things right off the top.

One thing on my list is found in Ephesians 5:11. Here Paul tells us to take no part in unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. What I understand this to mean is when I identify things that are detrimental to my beliefs or to those around me, I am to speak up. This is terrifying to me.

It’s terrifying because I hate confrontation and yet, I am admonished to do so, when necessary.

Being aware of the bad around us isn’t enough; we must muster the courage to stand up and say something when necessary.

Ask God for courage. He can’t wait to give it to you.
