1709) I am fortunate that while I was growing up, I had instilled in me the need to work hard and be dependable. I know what most of my responsibilities are and I take them seriously.

There is one area, however, where I had not considered being within this realm of responsibilities, and that is when Jesus instructed his disciples to rest.  Mark 6:31

For those of us with a high work ethic, we need to remember that taking a break, resting, is not being irresponsible. It is the admonition from God’s word. God does not say to be lazy, but he says we need to rest.

Sometimes it takes courage to take a break.
