Warranty

1687) Most of us have bought things that came with a warranty. This spells out that the manufacturer or creator promises the purchaser repairs or replacement of the item for a specific amount of time. I have rarely used a warranty, but the few times I have; I was glad to have the guarantee.

2 Corinthians 5:7 is a well-known verse. It says, We walk by faith, not by sight. The word used here for faith is pistis, which can be translated as a warranty. This insight can change the way we look at this familiar verse.

If we walk in faith which carries a warranty, we remember that the Creator of the target of our faith (God) promises to compensate the purchaser of this product (salvation), who is Jesus. Wow!

God speaks his words in the Bible, and he gives a warranty that he will keep his word. If not, he will compensate his son for the suffering and death he endured.

We can walk in our faith with the knowledge of a warranty that we cannot see but is real and set in place. Praise God!
