1672) I never was great at taking tests when I was in school. If there was a project-based assessment, I excelled, but when it came to question and answer tests, not so much.
Now, as an adult, I don’t have to be concerned about this, right? No. There are driver’s tests, budgeting demands, trying to figure out the tax papers for the IRS and more. I know. Why did I remind you?
There is another test we must require of ourselves and it’s found in 1 John 4:1. Here, we are urged to examine “spirits” to ascertain their origin, whether they are from God or not. This means we are not to just passively sit back and let circumstances naturally play out. When something important comes up, we need to dig in and see what the Bible says about it. See if what a person says and does is in line with God. Why? Because there are many false ideas, people, and created circumstances that do not come from God.
We must be vigilant and test each one based upon the God’s word. This is a test we don’t want to fail.
