1656) Time is an important thing in our world. We have appointments, dates and schedules that hinge upon the clock, often timed to the minute. Add to this texts and instant messages. We’re used to getting in contact with others and receiving instantaneous answers. The problem is, God rarely works this way.
When I read 1 Peter 5:10 where it says we have suffered a little while … and Christ will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you, it doesn’t necessarily mean instantaneously.
When we’re used to time based on minutes and hours, God’s timing can be a hard swallow. That doesn’t mean he won’t keep his word.
Perhaps there’s a lot of faith tied up in God’s timing and ours.
