1589) I am a worrier, therefore, I’m a planner. I guess in my mind, if I can think of anything that may go wrong, I can plan what I will do, and then I’ll be prepared. The problem with this thinking is much of the time, what I worried about, didn’t happen. I could have used the time I was worrying to do more productive things.
Jesus understood the need some of us have to plan to avoid other unpleasant things. In Matthew 6:3, he tells us not to worry about what may happen tomorrow. Instead, focus on the difficulties of just today. That’s enough.
