Where Is Your Focus?

1582) Contemporary Christian music has come a long way. When the “Jesus Music” movement hit in the 70s, it must have been a shock to the older generation. Now, those pieces of music are nothing like the Christian music of today. Whether or not you like these changes, you can find plenty of what you do like online.

One Christian singer who left a musical footprint on us was a man named Keith Green. Keith’s music had a major impact on many, even though he only lived to the age of 29.

Keith sang a song, Make My Life A Prayer to You, and he has a line that came to mind when I read Philippians 2:4. The verse says we should not look only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others. The words in the song say, “It’s so hard to see when my eyes are on me.”

We cannot possibly see what others need if we’re focused only on ourselves. Perhaps it would be valuable to check your focus.
