1568) Understanding that tweens and teens are very focused on fairness is important when teaching them. If they do something and receive a penalty, if they don’t see the same penalty given another student who does the same thing, they shout injustice through the roof. It is in times like this I try to teach them something adults may have a hard time understanding too and that is, just because you don’t see someone else’s penalty, doesn’t mean there isn’t one. Let me state it again for my benefit: Just because you don’t see someone else’s penalty, doesn’t mean there isn’t one.
This is the reason God tells us in Romans 12:19 to leave revenge up to God. He will avenge, even if we don’t see it.
Trusting God to take care of those who have wronged us is part of what faith is about. Remember, we don’t know everything.
