1566) We just had an awards ceremony at school for the first quarter. The students of the school gather to listen for their names and the recognition they have earned. Some of the smaller kids are funny to watch. They jump up and down and wave their arms everywhere. What excitement there is!

It is in thinking about this that Exodus 33:17 comes to mind. Here, God speaks with Moses and tells him He is pleased with him and knows him by name. Talk about an award to be given. As I think of this, I remember Moses was a murderer and someone who continually questioned God at the burning bush and yet, God still said this to him.

The wonderful thing is, God gives us the same award. He tells us that he is pleased with us and knows us by name. If this is the only award I ever earn from here on out, it will be more than enough!
