1559) Going to the eye doctor is a little frustrating. If you need to have your glasses prescription adjusted, you usually go through visual calisthenics when the doctor says, “Is this one better or is this one?” I cannot answer most of these comparison questions. They often look the same to me.
Another frustrating admonition for me, is when Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:18 to watch what we cannot see. My literal mind questions how it’s possible to watch what you cannot see, but we’re commanded to do it anyway.
As adults, we should know that what our natural eyes see is temporary. One day you see it or have it in your hand and the next day, these can disappear. The things we cannot see in the spiritual realm last. Salvation, attitudes, and worship, for example.
As crazy as it may sound, we need to keep watching what we cannot see.
