1534) Many years ago, we had a special 2-day “workshop” for all our students at the high school where I taught. There were many things about it that were very good and one comes to mind as I read 1 Corinthians 15:33. “Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” (NLT)
The man doing the workshop (and I’m sorry, I don’t remember his name so I can’t give him credit) said something like, if you are standing on a coffee table and the person you are friends with is standing on the floor, which is easier? You pulling the friend up or them pulling you down.
He pointed out to the kids that they need to be careful in choosing their friends because if their friends are on a pathway that isn’t a good one, they can be pulled down with them.
I think we adults could use being reminded of this too. Yes, those around us still influence us, so maybe it’s a good time for us adults to reflect on our friendships too
