1517) We all have been given gifts and abilities. If you’re older, as I am, you should be very aware of what these are, but if you aren’t, Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 4:14, that we should know what they are and be using them.

In this verse, Paul is writing to Timothy, and Timothy’s gift is his work with the elders of his church. Maybe Timothy could bring people together as one body. Maybe he could speak with a conviction the elders of the church could recognize as God-given. Whatever his gift was, God was expecting him to use it.

God also expects us to use our gifts and abilities, after all, why give someone something they cannot understand and use?
