Good Advice

1479) I have received some great advice through the years and one of them is, if you have to talk yourself into something, you probably shouldn’t do it. This is not to mean that if you’re scared, always back away. Instead, I am referring to the times when you have to make a decision and you know deep down what it should be but you’re trying to talk yourself out of doing it. Whenever I stopped justifying something and take a step back, I felt peaceful inside.

Peace is a valuable thing and Paul tells us in Philippians 4:7 that we can experience God’s peace in our lives if we bring concerns to him and search the Scriptures to find what God says about it.

Some advice we are given isn’t helpful but sometimes it truly is.
