1450) The state of Maine doesn’t have billboards as many of you see on the highways. Since I live here now, I don’t think about it but when I travel to other states; I am reminded why it’s good that Maine doesn’t have them.
For those of you on the east coast, starting in Virginia, going south on I-95, you used to see (I’m not sure if they’re still there or not,) billboards every 15 miles or so for a place called, South of the Border, between North and South Carolina. There were so many of these billboards and as a child, I read each one, wanting to go to this seemingly amazing place.
Billboards are effective and John 13:35 reminds us we’re all billboards. People read us every day. This verse says others will know if we are Christians or not by our love for others. Every time we think, speak, act or react around others, they should see the billboard of our love.
Is your billboard longingly attractive, fulfilling and useful?
