1416) I’m in my late 50s and my memory isn’t what it used to be. Though I usually have no trouble pulling out information from my brain, it’s now a slower process. It’s frustrating when you can’t put together your thoughts like you could years before. Now, saying “I forgot” can often be the case.
When it comes to memory, Nehemiah 9:17 tells us we need to remind ourselves of all the things God has done for us in our lives. I think there are two reasons for this. First, because it builds a love and appreciation for our creator and second, it helps us keep this information in the forefront so these memories can be easier to summon.
Make it a point to regularly acknowledge the things God has done for you, so saying “I forgot” will be used minimally.
