1361) With a privilege of being a teacher, I realize my job encompasses more than just the subject I have to cover in a year. I model behaviors and try to pass on to my students things that are important, not to mention, uphold the school rules.
One thing I try to communicate to my students is that using certain closely related words is really the same thing as using the words themselves. If they yell out a word that sounds very much like another one, when something they don’t like has happened, they believe it’s okay. I don’t know what is okay or not at their homes, but in my classroom, certain words and those that closely resemble them are not acceptable. Why? Because these words are one and the same.
James 3:9 points out another “one and the same” and that is, if you treat others poorly, you’re treating God in the same manner. Why? Because God made people in his image, and this means there is a small part of God in everyone.
Treating people with dignity and respect is another way we can worship our creator. This is important, but rarely easy.
