1344) I did not grow up in Maine; I grew up in the deep South. There are many differences between the two locations and this includes the seasons. Yes, you can find all four seasons in each of these locations, but they are different.
In the South, spring comes with warm breezes and trees budding, creating a period when your heart soars, knowing winter has gone back to bed. Springtime in Maine brings temperatures that might soar into the 50s. A warm breeze is rare and only the bravest trees and plants will bud. Neither location is good nor bad; they just are. You must wait patiently for spring in Maine.
Psalm 37:7 tells us we must wait patiently for God to fulfill his promises to us. Sometimes he acts for our good in the here and now, but other times, he will not act until the final breath has been taken on this earth. As we work to learn patience in relationship to God’s promises, our faith will strengthen.
Don’t give up on God’s promises. That season is here and on the way.
