1312) I know someone who is heavy on my heart. This individual is so hostile to anything having to do with God and, because of circumstances, I truly understand this hostility. But hostility is also a heavy burden, so this person is often in my thoughts and prayers.
Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 3:3 in the last days, people will not love good. What he is actually saying in the original Greek is people will be hostile to the things of God. Perhaps people make this choice “honestly,” meaning, those who represent Christ have mistreated a person or this choice could just come from not wanting to be accountable to the God of all the universe. Either way, the outcome is the same.
This hostility toward the things of God has been seeping into society throughout the years. When the principles of the Bible are forbidden. When the government no longer allows a person to abstain from things that go against their biblical principles. These will become the norm of society.
We need to be vigilant in recognizing this hostility toward God and make sure we don’t get caught up in it.
