1283) “Pick your battles” is a phrase I hear a lot in my teaching job. It’s because there is wisdom in knowing when to take a stand (or hold a kid to something that is in his or her best interests) and when to let something go.

2 Timothy 2:11-13 tells us of another cause and effect. It says if we endure, we’ll reign with Christ. This word endure is used here to mean taking a stand. We need to decide which things that come our way can be ignored and which things should not be.

If we take a stand on these things, it’s a type of practice for when we will reign with Christ one day.

Dare to take a stand in this life and lean on God to give you the wisdom to know when you should.
