1262) I used to listen to radio host Paul Harvey’s programs while I’d eat lunch. He always had something fascinating to share, and one thing that sticks out in my memory is how he would honor couples around the nation who had been married 70 years or more. That’s a long time!
I have known some long-time married couples, and it’s been interesting that they often look alike. No, I don’t mean the woman has the same facial hair or anything like that, but because they have been together for so long; they have absorbed much from their spouse and it shows in their speech, interests and more. Why is this? I think it’s because we become like those we spend time with.
In 2 Thessalonians 3:6, Paul warns God’s children not to spend time with Christians who do nothing for the Lord, yet do plenty to hinder others who do. Why? Because other people’s behavior influences ours.
The bottom line is, stay away from these Christians who will drag you down.
