1243) Another spiritual exercise we can build into our workout routine is found in 1 Thessalonians 5:13. Paul tells us here to have a “high regard” for those who lead us spiritually. I wasn’t sure exactly what “high regard” meant, so I dug a little further into the Greek use of this word. The word hégeomai is translated as having a high opinion of someone in God’s service because God has placed them there. This is why we are urged to cooperate with them.
Have you ever been involved with Christians who are set against each other? It is not good, and this is when God’s chosen leaders can help those involved forgive and move forward.
Cooperation is a choice and making this choice builds up the body of Christ.
