I often tell my students they need to choose their friends wisely, but adults need to choose wisely, too.
Others’ attitudes rub off on us. If we are around people who constantly complain, it will be so much easier for us to become complainers, too.
And, if we are exposed to those who have a positive outlook on life, it is also a force that will leave its mark on our hearts.
We can deny it all we want, but people do tend to incorporate the thoughts and behaviors of those we spend time with.
