1141) Growing up, garbage day was fascinating. My brothers and I would watch for the truck to come and, if we were lucky, we were outside to see our garbage move from the cans to this massive machine. We always hoped there was enough garbage there so the mechanism on the truck would move to force the garbage into it.
As an adult, garbage does not hold the same fascination, or does it? It’s interesting to consider there are different types of garbage.
There is the garbage of some types of entertainment as well as gossip-filled conversation. There is the garbage of a poor attitude and the thoughts involved. There is the garbage of how poorly we treat others.
All of this garbage is not collected by a team of people once a week; it stays within us.
These things buried deep inside will rot, leaving a disgusting smell to all around us. Don’t you think it’s time to take out the garbage? Psalm 119:37
