1136) If you could have the power to know the future, specifically your future, would you want it? Before you answer, think back a moment and reflect on your life. Would you want to know ahead of time the major events in your life, good and bad, were coming? I can’t answer for you, but mine would be easy. No Way!!

If I could have known ahead of time some things that have come my way, I would have been a bag of raw nerves. I would have been so worried and obsessed that I would have been of no earthly good in the moment.

Fortunately, knowing the future is not an option for us, but God knows. He knows the good and the bad and, ultimately, when our days on earth will be over. This brings me comfort because God knows what’s coming for me. He has already decided which things he is going to allow and has stopped things that were not in his plan.

Nothing takes God by surprise, and, with faith, we can take a deep breath because God is orchestrating our future.  Psalm 90:12
