1126) Sunsets are one of my favorite things to see. Because our upstairs bedroom faces west and has two huge windows, summers in Maine, which has a late sunset, allow me to view this spectacular scene in bed.

There have been times as I lie there when I picture Jesus appearing within it all. What a sight that would be, but not seeing Jesus (and God), can make faith difficult sometimes.

Because of the poor choices of all of us, we can’t see these heavenly things right now. Be assured, however, that God is there and the ‘not seeing’ is where faith sustains us.

God promises that one day, I WILL see him face to face. He will satisfy all my yearnings and it will be a joyful day. It will be more beautiful than a sunset. Job 19:25-26
