1115) Sometimes I learn more details about the home-life of a student. This knowledge can break my heart. Through the years, I have had kids in my classroom who suffer so much pain because one or both of their parents abandoned them. What must they tell themselves in situations like this? I can assure you, it’s not a good message.
If you too know the pain of being abandoned, it’s easy to believe God may abandon you, too. After all, in your experience and perhaps, your mind, you were abandoned because of some flaw you have. Why wouldn’t a God who knows everything about you do the same?
The great news is, despite knowing everything about us, God stays with us. He will not abandon his children. It doesn’t matter how imperfect, sinful, obnoxious or undeserving you are, He will NOT leave you.
Rest in this! Deuteronomy 31:8
