1113) Reputations are important. If you could gather all the people who know you and ask them what you are known for in their minds, what would they say? Would they say you are kind? Cranky? Generous? Stingy? Whatever they might choose for you, you cannot get away from the fact that, whether good or bad, you have a specific reputation.

God also has a reputation. He reminds Moses many times to look back on God’s “track record” and see what his reputation is. If Moses (and we) did this regularly, he would have spared himself (and ourselves) a lot of difficulties.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the ‘now’ and fret when we could look back at God’s reputation of faithfulness, and then relax.  Deuteronomy 4:35
