1109) Sometimes, love has very little to do with our relationships. There are marriages, family ties, coworkers, fellow Christians and friendships where love is not even a factor. How is this possible?
Anytime we decide to make our agenda the most important, love is not present. Judging and criticizing others is not an act of love. Rejecting or snubbing others who rub us the wrong way is not a reflection of it, either.
What is love? God is love. (1 John 4:8). He is patient and kind. God honors his children and his actions are always for our good. God is slow to anger and always forgives when asked. He is happy when the truth wins out. He will always protect you.
Feel unaccepted, guilty, judged, criticized, or unlovable? There is hope! God’s love is NOT conditional. He does not say, ‘I will love you only if…’ His love never runs out. God is “compassionate and gracious… slow to anger and abounding in love.” Exodus 34:6
