1067) There are many ways to abuse others or be abused and one of them is when slander is involved. Slander is garbage that is so rotten that people should be repulsed by it but, many times, it’s the opposite. If there is a “story” that’s going around, people can be curious. They ask what the story is and sometimes, there is a feeling of satisfaction if the story involves someone whom we don’t like or have hurt us. Until you have been the object of slander, you may not understand how repugnant it is, but when you have, it can be devastating.

Slander is something we need to have on our radar. A sort-of Golden Rule can help clean this garbage up by simply remembering to not do to others what we don’t want done to us. Slander is grotesque and we need to get rid of it. Ephesians 4:31.
