1066) I’m sure that marriage must have been an eye-opener for my husband, having not grown up with sisters. Times when I would just burst into tears for no apparent reason were a total mystery to him. There have been many other things that have left him just as perplexed. For example, I have tried over the years to convince my husband that you can shout without raising your voice. This is another time he looks at me with that totally baffled look, but I stand by my statement.
The word brawling is used in Ephesians 4:31 and this means shouting, being boisterous and just plain loud, and I say you can do these things without raising your voice. (Sorry, Randy.) A person engaged in such behavior is often more like a raging bull, always wanting to be heard. When we get into this “mode,” we hear little to nothing anyone else says, including God.
This spiritual deafness is useless if you want to be attuned to God and others. It’s garbage day. Take it out.
