Path of Destruction

1037) The world is full of violence that stems from many sources. It comes with wars, words, and writing (to name three) and, unfortunately, the Christian community is often involved in these destructive behaviors.

When I consider the repercussions of violence, Galatians 5:14-15 reminds me that the damage we do to others also damages ourselves.

It is never something we do to others without it affecting us. Violence spreads destruction everywhere and when we use this weapon, we need to understand that we will suffer, too.

Paul knew the power of “love your neighbor as yourself” (vs. 14). Love is more powerful than destruction and this, too, affects others and ourselves.

What would you rather reap: destruction or love? The choice is yours.
