1003) I see people using patterns regularly, especially at school. If my students are working on a project about their favorite book, they usually take their laptops and look for a pattern and draw on their papers what they see. If I ask the class to answer something by putting their thumbs up or down, they usually look at others to see how they are answering. They are looking for a pattern.
We all want to fit in, whether it be with our families, churches, jobs and more, and in order to do this, sometimes we have to “pattern” ourselves after those around us. There are few times when this isn’t bad, depending on who the people are, but often it’s not a good idea.
Paul knew this and states in Romans 12:2 that we are to carefully consider pattering our lives after God. It is in this conformity we will truly be all that God wants us to be.
The pattern reproduces itself.
