No One is Beyond Redemption

955) There are those throughout history who have committed heinous crimes. One such man is found in the book of Acts 8:1-3. Here Saul becomes infamous for doing everything within his power to destroy God’s people and church. Saul hurt and destroyed many people; he is definitely not deserving of God’s grace and mercy, and yet, God offers them to Saul and later in the book of Acts, we read of his conversion to Christianity.

Sometimes we can be self-righteous and pat ourselves on the back and say we’re good Christians because we never did the things Saul did. At other times, we can get so focused on our flaws and bad choices that we miss God’s grace.

There is good news, and that is, no one is beyond the grace of redemption. God wants all to make the choice to follow him. I want to point out, however, that this gift from God is time-bound. Just as in the days of Noah, anyone could have made the choice to follow God and they could have gotten on the ark but once the door was closed, the choice to get on existed no more.

No one is beyond the grace of God, but you need to make your choice now, while the “door” is still open.
