You Have My Word

926) Remember when you were a kid, if you crossed your fingers, it somehow gave you a free pass to say something that was not true? I have done some reading on this practice’s origin and have found conflicting information. The bottom line is, we all have a sense that our words are important. They communicate with others what’s essential to us as well as what are views on life are.

Considering this, I think it’s interesting that Jesus is called the Word in John 1:1. Ultimately, Jesus is the content of God’s communication with us. He represents God’s thoughts, feelings, and judgments.

If you want to know what God thinks, listen to Jesus.
