A Partial Truth is Dangerous

841) Our culture has rewritten the definition of lying and many do not realize this. We say that something is a “white lie” or “fib” when, in reality, a lie is a lie. What’s dangerous about those that lie is when they use a partial truth, they are welding a potent form of lying. Satan knows this and when tempting Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11, he used partial truths to convince Jesus to do something wrong. Jesus had to do what we need to in situations like this and that is to identify what is true and what isn’t. When this is broken into separate pieces, it’s easier to decide to not give in to the temptations that are brought our way. A partial truth is dangerous.
