835) I dislike involving politics in my writing mainly because it’s not a subject of my passion and, these days, it’s very divisive. But the content of Daniel 6 brings up the subject of scandals or false scandals and it caught my attention. In this chapter of Daniel, there are those who are envious of him and they seek to make him look bad. They are successful, at first. They cause Daniel to be put in death’s hands but, ultimately; they are destroyed.
Whether you like someone or not (or specifically, someone involved in politics or the media) false statements about others cause damage. This damage hurts the individual in question, but it also hurts the one spreading the scandal.
Perhaps it’s good to remember that you never look good, making someone else look bad.
