But Proverbs 19:5 reveals how turning the other cheek is possible. It is simply that God promises these actions will not go unpunished.

When someone spends their time putting others down, spreading false stories and such, the natural consequences alone is a punishment. These people will never be admired, respected and they will wallow in their own filth. There will be justice.
