796) If you’ve ever encountered a know-it-all (and we all have), you might cringe inside. This is because when you listen to someone who believes they know everything about a specific subject, you understand that they really don’t. They may be knowledgeable, but cannot possibly know all there is to know.
It’s easy to identify this ugly trait in others, but what about seeing it within ourselves? Are there occasions when you’ve stated what you think about a particular subject and refuse to budge because you’re so convinced you know all you need to know? If so, you’ve actually closed the door of possibilities. There are always things to learn and, besides, no one likes to be around a know-it-all. Keep the door of possibilities open. Proverbs 15:14.
