783) When we hear the word consequences, it’s common to think of the negative ones, but consequences, simply put, are results from one’s actions–good or bad. Proverbs 2:7 tells us that the upright will be successful. So, using this definition, success results from being upright–doing what is right.
Sometimes it may seem that doing right doesn’t always “pay off” in this life but, in God’s eyes, you will be successful. Plus, following God’s instructions will make many of our actions and interactions better. Skeptical? Try doing what is right for a month and see if your life is better. You might be surprised.
