778) Our relationships with people are complicated. The life of some of them is for brief periods of time and others continue long past what is healthy. The closeness of these relationships depends on a mind-boggling number of circumstances. Even those relationships that we feel should be “forever” in this world, such as with family or a spouse, don’t always stay intact for complicated reasons.
Putting the status of our relationships in this life aside, there is one you can always count on. Psalm 46:11 tells us that God will stay by us “until the end.” You’ll notice there are no conditions for this “staying” either. You don’t have to be too good, too obedient, too pleasing. God accepts you just as you are. This is very good news! You are valued.
