685) It’s easy to be critical of the younger generation. People throughout the ages have reflected on this. Socrates said, “Children; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise.” What I think is interesting is that when we refer to the younger generation in this manner, we act like we had nothing to do with it. Deuteronomy 4:1-14 illustrates why we need to pass on to younger generations what God has done in our lives. It’s important for them to see Christians flesh out what God instructs, because sometimes you are the only Bible people will read. We need to give those that come after us a legacy of living up to what we say we believe.
