Trash Talking

679) It certainly is human to trash talk someone. Why not? Our culture has saturated itself with it. It’s on the news, in entertainment, at the local grocery store and even in churches. In Numbers 12, we see how God feels about trash talking. Moses’ siblings, Miriam and Aaron, don’t care for some things Moses, as God’s representative, does. God’s anger is stirred and Miriam is struck with leprosy and even though Moses begs God to heal her, God kept her away from the Israelites for 7 days. Perhaps God does this to stop Miriam’s trash talking opinions from spreading among the people. That’s one problem of this kind of talk. Let’s take out the garbage today and save our words for encouragement.
