Stones that are Silent

676) In our limited minds, it’s easy to pass judgment on anyone (including God) and on anything. I have wondered if we had the power to wipe someone off the face of the earth, would we do it and, if so, how many? I am often on the other extreme; I would let so many off the hook. Neither one of these extremes is good. The wonderful thing is, God is the judge. He can and will punish and He also will forgive. To borrow from an event during Jesus’ time, the God Who had the right to throw the first stone chose not to, if you ask for His forgiveness. Failing to ask places God in the position He does not want to be in–the condemning God. Are the stones silent or are they accusatory in your life? Exodus 34:7.
