612) What is the value of a single human life? This question has been asked at difficult periods of history and we can see examples of human economics.
How about during WW2? Some humans were worth nothing; they were equivalent to trash while others valued these same people enough to hide them from the Nazis. These types of universal historical moments are easier to identify human economics in relationship to the value of a single human life. What can be more difficult is determining the value of “MY” life or self-economics.
Jesus knew that many would struggle with how much they do/don’t value their own life so He reminds us that God’s economics are different than ours. He values us more than a sparrow, a creature that God also cares about. If that doesn’t leave an impression upon your spirit, God valued us enough to let His Son die for us and, He would have done it even for a single human life. Matthew 10:31
