610) As a Bible teacher, I was sometimes asked, “What is God like?” How do you answer this question simply? Guess what? You can’t but Micah 7:18 gives us some idea. The God of justice, Who draws the line in the sand and tells us, “Don’t cross it,” is the very God who pardons and forgives us. Why? Because justice has been served on the cross and this verse foreshadows this. We also see here that God will not be angry with us forever; He does not hold grudges. Finally, Micah tells us that God loves giving out mercy – the choice to not give a punishment to us that we deserve. I’ve never met a human that can do these things but I have a God Who does. This is part of what God is like.
