547) Sometimes we can have an “image” of God in our minds that only emphasizes a few of His aspects. For example, the image of God only doling out judgment is to notice only a small part of who He is. In Exodus 34:6-7, Moses encounters the presence of God. During this event, God informs Moses that He’s compassionate, merciful, slow to anger, loving, faithful, and a forgiver of sins. Combining all of these examples give us a truer vision than just focusing on one aspect.
